About this editorial team
Jonas Vandenberghe has followed the Belgian gambling market since 2022 and works through every operator himself focused mainly on payouts and KYC. Active from Gent.

How we test. we register like any other player, stake money with Bancontact, ask for the money back and measure how long it takes. We check the operator against the Gaming Commission's white and black lists and recalculate the wagering requirement ourselves.
Limits, age and EPIS
On player protection, Belgium sits above the European average in strictness which feeds straight into your play limit. Each site automatically applies a €200 weekly ceiling. Adjusting downwards works right away, raising it needs a check and a waiting period.
The EPIS system is the regulator's central exclusion list: one registration excludes you at once from every licensed operator, online and on-site. Reversing it is not immediate. The age bar moved on 1 September 2024 from 18 to 21 for casino, hall and betting; lottery products are the exception at 18. It applies online and on-site.
